I'm An Independent Producer - Tracey Boakye 'Rubbishes' FIPAG Suspension

Actress Tracey Boakye has replied the Film Producers' Association of Ghana (FIPAG) over her indefinite suspension.

The FIPAG, in a statement on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, stated that Tracey Boakye has been suspended with immediate effect over her recent exchanges with singer Mzbel.

The film producers labeled Tracey's behaviour as an affront to Ghanaian culture, traditions and ethics.

"The Film Producers' Association of Ghana (FIPAG) finds their actions very regrettable especially that of Miss Tracey Boakye, who happens to be an actress and a Film Producer and therefore supposed to serve as a role model...In view of this, FIPAG has immediately suspended Miss Tracey Boakye indefinitely. She is not supposed take part in any of activities during this period until the situation is reviewed," FIPAG President, James Aboagye emphasized.

But in a quick riposte, Tracey Boakye has lambasted the FIPAG for their action.

According to her, she has produced movies for eight (8) years but has never been recognized by FIPAG, hence wondering how quick they are to take a punitive measure against her.

Tracey stated emphatically that she is not a "member of the FIPAG. I am an independent producer . . . If you ask me to list two leaders in FIPAG, I don't know. When you were going to elect your executives, you didn't allow me to vote. You said I am not a member. If I had died in labour, you would have line up to contribute to my funeral. I am asking have you ever visited me before as I am alive and given birth."

She believed the FIPAG is on a mission to disgrace her but she is unperturbed by their action.
