Creative Arts Industry To Receive Modernized Recording Studios

The Creative Arts Industry will, in the next term of the Akufo-Addo administration, receive state of the art recording studios.

This was revealed in the 2020 manifesto of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) which was launched on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Cape Coast in Central Region.

The party used the occasion to solicit the votes of Ghanaian electorates.

The Creative Arts Industry comprises a vast array of talented and skilled individuals such as
writers, dancers, actors, musicians, fashion designers among others.

It is a sector with a high potential for job creation, particularly for the youth and also a driver for tourism and economic growth.

As part of the President's entrepreneurial hubs strategy, the government is assuring the Creative Arts players his administration will see to the establishment of recording studios in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi, when given a second term. 

The creation of the studios is to provide opportunities for recording artists to rent space to do their recordings.

In view of this, the Creative Arts Ministry will build a digital platform for the artists to make their products available to the global market.

The government will additionally set up a Creative Arts Fund to support artists, complete the theatre in Kumasi and further construct new theatres in Takoradi and Tamale.
