Order BNI To Arrest Rawlings - Youth In Yendi

A group known as Concerned Dagbon Youth in Yendi has challenged President John Evans Atta Mills to order the national security to compel former President Rawlings to produce the Yaa-Na Yakubu Andani murder tapes if indeed his administrations pledge to find justice for the people of Dagbon is something to be believed. The group expressed its displeasure about the speed at which President John Mills commandeered the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to invite Mr. Herbert Mensah to substantiate his alleged $90 US Dollar tape recordings, whereas former President Rawlings has been left unattended to despite his several claims that he Rawlings posses tape recordings about the Yaa-Na murder since 2002. It has come as a shock to the people of Dagbon to have heard President Mills call on the national security to immediately invite Mr. Herbert Mensah a member of Nana Konadus campaign team to make available the alleged tape recorder which he has about President Mills going to use $90 million US Dollars to fund his campaign and could not use the same powers to call on the national security to invite the former President to bring his tapes about the Yaa Naa killers. In a press statement issued and signed by the Spokesperson of the Concerned Dagbon Youth in Yendi, Mohammed Kpemsi slammed President John Mills over what he described as his insensitivity towards finding the killers of the late overlord of Dagbon Yaa-Na Yakubu Andani since he assumed office in 2009. According to him, the Presidency is afraid of the NDC founder that is why it is finding it extremely difficult to ask the national security apparatus to demand the Yaa-Na Yakubu Andani murder tapes from former President Jerry John Rawlings. Mohammed Kpemsi also asserted that the action of President Mills regarding the Herbert Mensah allegation meant that the alleged US 90 million Dollar tapes are important than the late King of Dagbon Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II whose murder tapes the former President Jerry Rawlings claims to have in his possession. The action of President Mills is a clear indication that his personality is more important than finding the killers of Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani he stressed. The Concerned Dagbon Youth Spokesperson reminded President Mills of his recent promise at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi that his government was committed to finding real justice for the people of Dagbon. He therefore warned that any further delay by the Mills-Mahama administration to retrieve the said Yaa-Na murder tapes from the NDC founder Jerry Rawlings will lead to the partys downfall in the Dagbon State in 2012.
