'I See Reopening Of The Airport As Job Creation' - Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare

Health Advisor to the Presidency, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare says the reopening of the country’s international airport is an opportunity for job creation.

According to him, government has employed over hundreds of Ghanaians to manage newly installed equipment at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to test travelers entering the country of COVID-19.

“To me, I see this reopening of the airport as job creation,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie'.

His comment follows the announcement by President Akufo-Addo that the Kotoka International Airport is to open to travelers effective September 1, 2020.

The entry into the country, however, is subject to passengers undertaking a COVID-19 test at Kotoka — the result of which is to be communicated to passengers after about 30 minutes.
