Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia addressing a durbar in his honor by the Chiefs and people of Tatale Traditional area last Friday, September 4, told the people that President Akufo-Addo has proven to be a leader who truly cares about development for all.

According to him, unlike former President Mahama, President Akufo-Addo is a different type of leader who "talks development and does development".

“This is why you’re seeing all these projects across Tatale Sanguli and other parts of the north. President Akufo-Addo is a leader who believes in inclusive development, and the true development of the northern part of the country”, Dr. Bawumia noted.

Vice President Dr. Bawumia mentioned to the people of Tatale Sanguli Constituency that the government of President Akufo-Addo in three and half years has done a lot for them than the former President and the NDC did in 8 years in power.

“What we have done in the past three and half years in Sanguli is more than what the NDC did in 8 years and they should come and challenge and show us what they did.”

He however called on the people to rally their support around President Akufo-Addo as he is seeking a second term in office and also for keeping faith with them as he has not failed the north.

“Former President Mahama failed you and he now says you should give him another chance so that he will come and do the job that someone is already doing…Nana Akufo-Addo is already doing the job and he is someone you can trust so why change someone you can trust for the person who failed you?”

Dr. Bawumia touching on the SADA project described it as “a monumental and inexplicable waste of taxpayer resources”, adding that the ‘insensitive’ Mahama administration exploited the poor people of the north and wasted millions of dollars under the pretense of developing the north through SADA.

“The SADA program under John Dramani Mahama was a monumental and inexplicable waste of taxpayer resources. A monumental and inexplicable waste and you are dealing with our people; the poor people of the north. And you take money meant for their development and put it into guinea fowl flying schemes”, he slammed.
