Following the sod cutting for the construction of the original design of the Asomdwee Park, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Atta Mills Institute, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho says a letter has been released for the contractor to commence work.

According to him, even though the original architectural design of the Asomdwee Park was done in 2012 by the opposition NDC government under former President John Dramani Mahama, he is not able to tell why the NDC could not construct the Park.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Koku Anyidoho acknowledged the fact that the Asomdwee Park is being constructed under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo as President of Ghana.

“We did the design in 2012 and the reason why we could not construct the Asomdwee Park, I can’t tell but under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo as President of Ghana and under the leadership of Jerry Shaib Ahmed, CEO of CODA, a letter has been released for the contractor to commence the Asomdwee Park construction to its original architectural design,” he stated.

He, however, attributed the construction of the Asomdwee Park to God answering his fasting and prayers, and thus, thanking President Akufo-Addo for availing himself as God’s vessel to be used to construct the Asomdwee Park so as to glorify the name of the Lord.

He added that for the construction of Asomdwee Park, the better Ghana agenda that the late President Atta Mills wanted to champion shall be built.

To him, the deep partisan behaviour in the country is not helping anybody and the country at large; asserting that Ghana has been walking on one leg since independence because of deep partisan division which makes it abominable for people in opposition to acknowledge the performance of a ruling government.

He maintained that the Atta Mills Institute will make the difference in the country by leading his team to the Jubilee House to officially show appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the construction of the Asomdwee Park

“Just as we went to thank President Rawlings for his support during the commemoration of President Atta Mills, when the right time comes and the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Opare, and those at the Presidency permit us, I Samuel Koku Anyidoho will lead my team to go to the Flag Staff House and go and thank President Akufo-Addo for allowing his government to construct the Asomdwee Park,” he indicated.

“Cyrus was not a Jew but God brought him and in his time, Cyrus allowed the Temple in Jerusalem to be rebuilt so that the God of Daniel, Meshach and Abednego will be glorified. Nana Akufo-Addo as far as I am concerned is the Cyrus that I am looking at”.

“He is constructing the Asomdwee Park, at least, Atta Mills Institute shall be like Daniel, Meshach, and Abednego and thank King Cyrus Akufo-Addo for building the Temple of Jerusalem which is the Asomdwee Park,” he stated.
