You May Lose 2020 Elections If Your Supporters Don't Partake In EC Exhibition Exercise - Pratt To Political Parties

The Electoral Commission (EC) commenced its voters' exhibition exercise on September 18 and will end on Friday, September 25 this year.

The exhibition exercise is the last of the processes aimed at cleaning up the voters' register ahead of the December 7 polls.

It is being conducted in the 33,366 exhibition centres across the country and registered voters are to go and confirm their registration status and/or make corrections to their data in the register.

They also have the right to challenge ineligible registrants during the exhibition.

Speaking to host Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt has called on all political parties to encourage their members and supporters to partake in the exhibition.

According to him, the exhibition is an important part of the upcoming elections, in that, the success or failure of the political parties going into the elections depend on the effectiveness of the exercise.

''The political parties must encourage their supporters to go and do the right thing because we're in the season of the elections. If you don't encourage your supporters to partake in the exhibition, you're on the road to defeat. So, all the political parties whether the NDC, CPP or NPP must ensure their members and supporters participate in this registration, especially for the exhibition part to be effectively conducted," he said.

He also advised the Ghanaian electorates not to engage in any violent acts as they go to the various centres to check their names or effect the necessary corrections to their information.
