Dan Botwe Consoles Family Of Deceased Mfantseman MP, Ekow Kwansah Hayford

The Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development, Dan Kwaku Botwe has extended his condolences to the family of the deceased Member of Parliament for Mfantseman constituency, Ekow Kwansah Hayford.

Hon. Ekow Hayford was shot dead in the early hours of Friday, October 9 by alleged highway robbers.

According to Peace FM's correspondent in the Central Region, Ibrahim Dadzie, he was shot after he refused to stop when the robbers signalled him to while returning from a campaign trip in the region.

The robbers are said to have questioned the identity of the deceased who reportedly told them he is a Member of Parliament and one of the robbers blamed him for inflicting hardship on his constituents, hence annoyingly shooting him twice resulting in his untimely demise.

Hon. Dan Botwe, speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', described the MP as a noble man and a great loss to Parliament and the entire nation.

''He is a loving person, very playful and a character that arouses laughter all the time, and one of the very hardworking Members of Parliament.

''He is a great loss to Mfantseman, to Central Region, to the entire Ghana and Parliament.''

The Minister commiserated with the deceased's family and his constituents urging them to take heart as the nation together mourns the death of the MP.
