Chairman Abronye Was Being Truthful, No Need To Apologizes To Any Chief; Banda Chiefs Arises To His Defense

Nana Sakyeme Senapim II, Chief of Banda-Kabrono also the custodian of the Banda Black Stool and his elders have rubbished claims by some chiefs in Banda Ahenkro that the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe Abronye should apologies for using unsavoury comments against them.

Nana has disclosed that, the Bono Regional Chairman was being truthful and precise about the violence and rampant killings in the Banda communities and hence there is no need for the politician to apologise to the chiefs who feel offended by his outburst.

Nana Sakyeme Senapim II, Chief of Banda-Kabrono also the custodian of the Banda Black Stool in a press conference organized at Banda-Kabrono on Monday averred that, the activities of the people at Banda Ahenkro has put the entire Banda community in bad light, something he said requires behavioural change in order to redeem their lost image.

The Chiefs and Elders of Banda Ahenkro some few days ago in a press conference organized gave the New Patriotic Party Chairman of the Bono Region Kwame Baffoe Abronye two-week ultimatum to apologize to them for describing them as violent people.

But the custodians of the Banda Black Stool has explained, Chairman Abronye’s utterances does not paint a gloomy picture about the people of Banda but the Bono Regional Chairman was being factual and precise about the recent happenings in the area.

Nana noted that, Banda Ahenkro town has always been known to be affiliated to the NDC which they have gone to the extent of banning the New Patriotic Party from campaigning in the area since 2012 elections, an action he said, they strongly repeated in the just ended elections and therefore they are not surprise about their current posture against the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.

Nana Sakyeme Senapim II, has appealed to the chiefs in the area to initiate measures to curb the menace of lawlessness and rampant killings in order for peace and unity to prevail in the area.
