Never Dismiss Questions From Your Ward – Counsellor Kweku Adumatta Tells Parents

A renowned counsellor and life coach Uncle Kweku Adumatta has advised parents not to brush off questions from their wards.

Accordingly, to him, parents must make it a necessity to give ears to children whenever they need answers to questions being asked.

Around age four upwards, girls and boys alike seem to catch the curiosity bug, showering their parents with questions day and night.

In an interview with Akua Sonto on ‘the Sonto Show’ a social issues based program which airs on Sundays at 5:30pm on EBN TV, Counselor Adumatta said as children grow up, it’s natural to be curious about the world around them.

“It’s important to know that children gain knowledge from what we tell them as parents and what they learn from outside.”

He added that the environment in which the child is raised and what he or she has been exposed to has a great influence on his or her future.

“Anytime children come to us and tell you I have something to say, you must quickly have a listening ear, take your time and answer them,” he said.

Counsellor Kweku Adumatta advises parents to make room for the ‘why and what’ questions of their children and also create a friendly and enabling atmosphere for the children to communicate with.
