Govt Commences Construction Of 7 New Schools

President Nana Akufo-Addo's government is constructing seven (7) new schools across the country to provide quality education.

The new schools include 1 Creative Arts School which is first of its kind in Ghana, 1 Model Technical School and 5 Model Science-based schools.

Construction of these schools, according to Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, have begun and will soon be completed to serve their purposes.

"We're building new Senior High Schools at various places. That is new boarding schools and the construction is far advanced . . . These schools will be teaching what we term as 'STEM' standing for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics," he said.

He added that, in addition to the new SHSs, is also the construction of some basic schools; all aimed at improving Ghana's education system.

He disclosed in an interview on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme.
