Online users are already congratulating Princess Diana's ex boyfriend, James Hewitt "for birth of grandchild" despite not being related to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's child. 

Claims that James Hewitt is actually the father of Prince Harry have long been rubbished. Hewitt himself has also denied the claims. 

It stems from the revelation that Princess Diana had a 5-year affair with Hewitt, from 1986 to 1991, while she was married to Prince Charles. 

They became close after Hewitt had been asked to give Princess Diana riding lessons while he was still in the Household Cavalry. 

However, their affair didn't start until two years after Harry was born. 

Princess Diana confirmed the affair in 1995, leading to Prince Harry being dogged by rumours Hewitt was his real father. 

Following Sunday's announcement that Harry and Meghan have welcomed Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, people decided to troll Hewitt and took to Twitter to post congratulatory messages for him.
