MUSIGA Honours Hello Fm's Drive Time Show Host

The Acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mr. Bessa Simons, has disclosed that the Association will endeavor to promote standardization in the music profession through the organization of training and workshop programs for its members.

According to him, the workshop would be centered mainly on how to write good music content and bringing it out, its promotion and sales among others in this era of advancement in technology and digitization to enable musicians meet international standards.

He was speaking at the commemoration of World Music Day and also a General Meeting for MUSIGA members in the Ashanti Region, where the Association also honored two radio presenters in Kumasi, for their outstanding performance and contribution to promoting local and indigenous music.

"....the work of musicians and that of radio stations and its presenters' interplay, hence the need to encourage and motivate them to enable them help elevate the industry to higher level," Bessa Simons added.

Mr. Dennis Mac Caulley popularly known as Bonshayka, host of Hello Fm's drive time show, (Ekwanso Brebre) was honoured with a citation which partly read "Musicians Union of Ghana Ashanti Region, recognizes and value all that you have given to support the growth and wellbeing of the music industry’’.

An elated Mac Caulley expressed his appreciation to the MUSIGA for the recognition and reiterated his commitment to contribute his quota to the development of Ghanaian music across the globe.
