President's Nominee For Mahama's Hometown, Bole-Bamboi, Veronica Alele Rejected
The President's nominee for Bole-Bamboi District in the Savannah Region, Madam Veronica Alele has been rejected by members of the Assembly.
She secured 17 YES votes representing 43.58% as against 22 NO votes representing 56.41% out of a total valid vote cast of 39.
The votes she gathered were not enough to secure her 2/3 of the valid vote cast to confirm her nomination.
Madam Veronica Alele still has a chance to be confirmed in another round of voting in 10 days' time to become the District Chief Executive of former President John Dramani Mahama's hometown.
