Two Politicians Settle Their Differences By Fighting In A Wrestling Ring While Hundreds Watch

Two Brazilian politicians who were squabbling settled their disputes in a boxing ring. Simo Peixoto, Borba’s mayor, was publicly challenged to a fistfight in September by Erineu da Silva, a former councilman.

Silva, who goes by the moniker Mirico, was reportedly enraged over the mayor’s apparent failure to conserve a waterpark near the Madeira river and demanded a confrontation with Peixoto.
