Otto Addo Will Not Be Available For 2021 AFCON - Milovan Rajevac Confirms

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has confirmed deputy coach Otto Addo will not be available during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Otto Addo works with German Bundesliga side Dortmund and was part of the technical team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

With the Bundesliga resuming in January which clashes with the AFCON, the former Ghana international will be unavailable for the tournament, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

Otto Addo was appointed to work on part time basis as deputy coach of the Black Stars.

Addressing the media during the announcement of the Black Stars squad for the 2021 AFCON, Coach Milovan Rajevac confirmed the technical team is working to get a replacement.

“Coach Otto Addo will be unavailable for the upcoming tournament. It’s a big lost for us but we will try and find his replacement.”.

The Black Stars technical team will depart to Doha, Qatar on Wednesday December 23 to begin preparations ahead of the tournament.

Coach Rajevac has named a 30-man provisional sqaud.
