Police To Provide Security For Hearts, Kotoko Clash

The Accra Regional Police Command will provide security for the match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

A statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs Unit, Greater Accra Regional Police Command and copied the Ghana News Agency, said the special security arrangement was necessary to manage the anticipated large supporters of the clubs at the stadium.

It asked the supporters to comply with all rules and regulations and must not be in possession of any intoxicating substance, or material that may cause harm or injury.

The statement said adequate police personnel would be deployed at strategic points to manage traffic in and around the stadium, and to ensure the safety and security of all.

There will also be police patrol teams around the stadium.

It entreated supporters who would be at the stadium to observe all COVID-19 protocols and cooperate with the Police.
