Manchester United Stars 'Furious' Over Paul Pogba's £500,000 a Week 'New Contract'

Paul Pogba's future at Manchester United remains a cloud over the club with several of his team-mates reportedly left incredulous at his potential mammoth pay rise should he remain at Old Trafford.

Wantaway midfielder Pogba has just months left on his current contract which expires this summer.

According to the Mirror, the 29-year-old has been offered a new deal worth £500,000-per-week to remain at United - which would make him the Premier League's highest-paid player. The deal starts off with a basic salary of £400,000 with the add-ons taking up half-a-million pounds.

However, they claim that those terms have left members of the Red Devils squad furious - with plenty feeling he is not worthy due to his performances on-the-pitch and non-committal stance over committing his future.

'Some of the players think it’s out of order he could be getting twice as much as they’re when he hardly starts a game and talks about leaving all the time,' a source told the Mirror.

If Pogba was to accept the new terms it would see him surpass Cristiano Ronaldo (£450,000-per-week), David de Gea (£375,000-per-week), Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane (both £300,000-per-week) in the club's wage's structure. He currently earns £290,000-per-week.

Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are among the clubs keen on Pogba but whether they can offer the wages he wants will be decisive, while remaining at United has yet to be ruled out.
