Rugby Tournament: Rugby Africa Veep Urges Ghana Rugby Men's Team To Excel

The Vice President of the Africa Rugby Association, Andrew Owner has urged the Ghana Rugby Men's team to put up a fighting spirit in their upcoming tournament.

He was a special guest of honour during our jersey presentation ahead of tomorrow's competition.

In a short speech before the presentation, Mr Andrew Owor urged the players to build on the feat chalked in Kumasi during the Regional 7s West Africa edition which Ghana won.

"I was in Kumasi and I saw the fire and hunger with which you conquered all and that is why you are here. I believe the coaches have done all they can in terms of preparation, the rest lies with you now. This is another platform to showcase to the rest of Africa and the world what you can do."

The Ghana Rugby Men's team will be battling 13 other countries this weekend for qualification to both the Rugby World Cup and the Commonwealth Games.
