Actor and founder of Ghana Movie Awards Fred Nuamah has lost his elder brother, Emmanuel Kwablah Nuamah.
He was in his late 30s and died in a USA hospital at Lowell, Massachusetts, last week after a cancer ailment. Messages of condolence have since been pouring in from Fred�s friends in the showbiz industry.
Fred was at this year�s Cannes Films Festival in France when he got the unfortunate news. �I was at the Cannes when I received information that he died.
I wish I was with him before �but it is all good. God knows why things happen, they way do. I was supposed to be with him, but I also needed to be at the Cannes film festival to honour my obligations there,� he told NEWS-ONE yesterday.

Fred Nuamah has gradually become a household name in Ghana and beyond. He is a jack of all trades. He is an actor, producer and artiste manager. He managed a number of Ghanaian artistes in the past as well as soccer and boxer stars including Joseph Agbeko.
He first started out as a radio presenter and went through the ranks to produce Daasebre Dwamena. He appeared in a number of Ghanaian movies as an actor before he decided to found Ghana Movie Awards.
