The dynamic and hardworking Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, has been appointed as Chairman of the Regional Chairmen Association of Association.
Chairman Wontumi received unanimous endorsement from his colleague regional chairmen during a meeting of party executives in Accra over the weekend.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman will therefore be responsible for coordinating activities and chairing meetings of the Regional Chairmen Association for the next four years.
Speaking after his elections, Chairman Wontumi expressed joy at his elections and promised to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him.
"I do not consider this as a ceremonial position; I consider this honour by my colleagues as a call to serve. I promise to serve the party with all that I have in me and to ensure the vision to maintain power for the NPP is achieved " Chairman Wontumi pledged
