Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has issued a strong caution to lawyer Martin Kpebu, leader of the 'Kume Preko Reloaded' demonstration on Saturday, November 5, to desist from using defamatory words on the President.

He addressed the behavior of the lawyer during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" discussion programme.

He alluded to the lawyer attending recent interviews and using unsavory language and leveling accusations at the President but warned him not to abuse his freedom of speech.

"This man can sit either on radio or television and use abusive language on the President. I wonder this is a lawyer?", he fumed.

The former Central Regional Minister asked lawyer Martin Kpebu to respect the laws that he, as an astute lawyer, has learned and conduct himself in a decorous manner, particularly when speaking to the President.

"Mr. Martin Kpebu, please take it from me that see, under this constitutional arrangement and you have been very much a part of it with cases you sent to court especially the matter of bail for offences is in your name and it will forever remain in your name.

"I want lawyer Martin Kpebu to understand that if he has learned the law and wants to apply it, the law says before you can accuse someone, then you have evidence. He must not take the freedom and the space that democratic dispensation affords us to say all kinds of things," he exclaimed.
