Alhaji Gruzah Unperturbed

Kumasi-Based King Faisals demotion to the lower league seems to have had no serious effect on its bankroller, Alhaji Karim Gruzah. To the outspoken founder, in as much as the demotion is painful and incomprehensible, he and the entire Faisal family have taken it in good faith. Reacting to what accounted for the shipwreck, he failed to lay the blame on the doorstep of anyone, saying, It was in Gods plan that we exit the top flight league at this point in time. Dont forget the clubs motto is Insha Allah, and if it was Gods will that we exit the league, I dont have a problem, he said in an interview. He added: So long as the league remains, promotion and demotion will never cease. Next season, three clubs will be demoted and three would join the elite league from the lower division. According to Alhaji Gruzah, clubs such as BA United, SS 74, Cornerstone and Akotex among others have come and gone but he is confident that Faisal will return to the top flight league. My only worry is the fans who have supported the club all these while. I must say we are very sorry, but we will do our homework well and return soon. I will not blame anybody for the relegation. Its time Faisal exited the league and that is what has happened, he said in plain words. Faisal joined the Ghanaian top flight league in 1995, participated in the CAF Confederations Cup and produced players such as Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Mark Edusei, and Habib Mohammed, all former players of the Black Stars.
