The 10th National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) aimed at electing national executives to lead the party into the 2024 general elections has ended.
The congress ended with over 9000 enthused delegates voting for their favorite candidates vying for positions like National Chairman, General Secretary among others.
At the end of the voting, Fifi Fiave Franklin Kwetey, a former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and one-time Propaganda Secretary of the National Democratic Congress has been elected the new General Secretary of the party.
Mr. Fifi Kwetey, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Ketu South, truimphed over Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a former Minister of Youth and Sports and Peter Boamah Otukonor, a former deputy General Secretary of the NDC.
The former Deputy Minister polled 4543 votes to outwit his competitors.
Although Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Dr. Peter Otukonor have lost, they however gave Fifi Kwetey a run for his money.
