Members of the Youth Wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today make a forceful entry into the Greater Accra region in an attempt to recapture all the Parliamentary seats it lost to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the last general elections. It would hold what promises to be a mammoth rally at the famous Mantse-Agbonaa part in Jamestown at 12noon today and it is expected to be attended by the teeming youth of the party. National Youth Organiser of the NPP Anthony Abayifa Karbo said the rally would be used to officially launch and kick-start what the party calls �Operation Recapture Greater Accra, 2012� campaign, which is the youth wing�s campaign to ensure that the party wins massively in the region in the 2012 general elections. �This is the first stop in a series of national events which would see the inauguration of various regional youth wings, as well as other major events as part of the campaign of the youth wing towards the 2012 elections,� he stated in a statement issued ahead of today�s programme. The occasion would also be used as an opportunity to inaugurate the Greater Accra Youth Wing of the NPP since, according to Karbo, �the youth of the NPP and various other youths have recognized the urgent need to take Ghana from the backward path it is currently on and bring back the New Patriotic Party to power to restore hope and dignity to the Ghanaian youth�. Furthermore, he said, �The youth of the NPP recognizes the important role it needs to play in order to make this much desired victory of the party certain in 2012 and has fully embraced the responsibility.� �Operation Recapture Greater Accra, 2012� is expected to bring together all youths of the party and those sympathetic to the party to strategize and work on all fronts to guarantee the NPP�s success in the region in the 2012 general elections. The rally would also be used to outdoor the various working committees for the Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing which would be the main vehicles in driving the �Operation Recapture Greater Accra, 2012� campaign. The National Youth Organizer of the party, together with the entire National Executive and National Youth Wing structure, therefore invites all members and sympathizers of the NPP to the rally which, they believe, would be a landmark event in the NPP�s impending victory in 2012.
