Ghanaian student Seyram Mawuenyega honoured on New York’s Times Square Billboard

Seyram Mawuenyega, a Ghanaian student who gained attention for his open letter to the former president of the Ghana Football Association in 2013, has achieved remarkable academic success since then. Seyram, who was just 11 years old at the time, impressed many with his eloquent writing skills, leading to debates about the authenticity of the letter’s authorship.

Seyram continued to excel academically after writing the letter. He completed his high school education at SOS Herman Gmeiner International College, where he graduated at the top of his class, won numerous awards and prizes, and served as the Comportment Prefect.

In 2020, Seyram’s exceptional academic achievements earned him a full scholarship to Brown University, an esteemed Ivy League institution in the United States. Pursuing a major in Business Economics, he is currently in his final year at the university.

Recently, Seyram’s accomplishments were celebrated on a grand scale, as his image appeared on a giant billboard in New York City’s Times Square.
