NPP Presidential Election: Bawumia Is The 'People's Man' - Allotey Jacobs

Bernard Allotey Jacobs has predicted a massive win for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party's presidential race.

Speaking on Peace FM's show "Kokrokoo" Wednesday morning, the former NDC Central Regional Chairman described Dr. Bawumia as the "people's man" believing him to be the best person to lead the New Patriotic Party to victory in the 2024 elections.

He was certain the Veep will emerge victor in the party's internal elections, stressing "no matter what anybody will do, Bawumia is going to take the lead in both the Super Delegates as well as the main congress".

The New Patriotic Party will on Saturday, August 26 hold its Super Delegates Congress to reduce the number of aspirants from ten to five candidates who will compete in its main elections scheduled on Saturday, November 4 this year.

The ten candidates include former Trade Minister; Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, former Agriculture Minister; Dr. Owusu Afriyie-Akoto, Assin Central MP; Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former NPP General Secretary; Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former Attorney General and Railways Minister; Joe Ghartey, former Energy Minister; Boakye Agyapong and the Vice President among others.

Over 900 delegates are expected to participate in the Super Delegates Congress.
