#SuperDelegatesVote: Even A Child Knows The Top 3...Any Celebration Is 'Much Ado About Nothing' - NPP MP

Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie- Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh has burst the bubble of those who want to celebrate after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Special Delegates Congress on Saturday, August 24, 2023.

The NPP Special Delegates Congress is aimed at reducing the number of the aspirants from ten to five and the five will compete in its main flagbearer election in November.

Rooting for the former Trade Minister, Alan Kyerematen, to be among the top three candidates, Sylvester Tetteh rubbished the desire of members from the various camps of the presidential aspirants to jubilate after the congress.

He saw no need for any person to rejoice or celebrate, stressing the Special Delegates Congress is only an exercise towards the main race on November 4.

He stressed "there is nothing like celebration tomorrow", claiming it is obvious that the top three candidates to emerge after Saturday's election will be Alan, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

"Even a child knows this; tomorrow is for us to find two candidates to add up to the obvious three to make it five. So, the celebrations that some people are saying they will have is much ado about nothing," he said on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show.

To him, the main hurdle is the November election during which about 200,000 delegates will be voting to elect who leads the NPP into the 2024 elections.

"You are just been selected to go and face the larger delegates," he drew the attention of the aspirants and their supporters.
