Forgive Us, UTV . . . We're Sorry! - NPP Youth Organizer

National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Salam Mustapha has rendered an unreserved apology to the management of Despite Media and its workers over the shameful incident that happened last Saturday on the set of the media house's entertainment show "United Showbiz".

Some group of persons belonging to the New Patriotic Party thronged the premises of UTV, forcing their way into their studios and interrupting United Showbiz.

They insisted to be part of the panel on the show and also called for an apology from Kwame Aplus, a regular panel member, for ripping a letter their party addressed to the management of the Television network requesting a reform of United Showbiz.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show Thursday morning, Salam Mustapha described the incident as embarrassing and inappropriate.

He, therefore, on behalf of the youth wing of the party, sought to make amends.

"On my own behalf, the youth wing, we say that we have faulted; forgive us," he said.

He, however, stated that the party's youth who invaded UTV were acting on their "adrenalin", saying, "the combined energies of young people sometimes is more potent than an atomic bomb . . . Sometimes when the youthful adrenalin kicks in, it could lead you to do something of this sort".

Salam promised the management and staff of Despite Media that there will be no recurrence of such invasion and asked that the cordial relationship between the New Patriotic Party and the media will continue.

"It will not happen again and that one we are very very sure that what happened won't happen again," he asserted.
