XCLUSIV FOTOS: Jackie Appiah Behind Bars!!

African Movie Academy Awards winner, Jackie Appiah Agyeman is currently going through a new phase in her acting career. The beautiful actress who has played several roles ranging from a mad woman, a poor girl, a victim of teenage pregnancy, a prostitute, a promiscuous married woman, a village girl among others in different movies both in Ghana and Nigeria has been reduced to a condemn prisoner. The Ghana Movie Awards 2011 Best Actress was spotted behind bars at the Usher Fort Prisons in Accra on set during filming of her new blockbuster titled Death After Birth from the stables of Roger Q Production, the producers of the highly successful movie Turn Me On. This will be the first time Jackie is playing the role of a prisoner in a movie and she shared her experience when Peacefmonline.com Entertainment Desk caught up with her on location. I like to play challenging roles. I had to play a prisoner, I look very dirty, I had to be made up to look darker, it is very exciting and I am looking forward to see how this movie will come out. This is the first time I am playing a prisoner and I feel so different. Anybody who walks in here does not recognize me when they see me because they havent seen me like this before. I'm happy about it. I am a prisoner from the beginning of the movie to the end and it is very interesting. From the little experience Jackie had in the prisons whiles shooting, she advised everybody to stay away from trouble. Everyone should stay away from crime or anything that can bring you to prison because it is terrible I am so drained right now, I feel tired and its simply terrible. The prisons look so dirty and appalling and I had to walk there, sleep there and pretend as if I was a prisoner. So from my experience nobody should ever wish to go to prison. Death After Birth, a story filled with tragedy, pain and sorrow is produced by Roger Quartey and directed by Pascal Amanfo. The movie is an emotional story of a young girl, Zynell [played by Jackie Appiah] who is an issue from a bizarre rape incident that befell her mother. Zynell grew up to be a victim of rape too. She suffered in silence as her own Dad heartlessly raped her several times. She rebelled against her shameful father by killing him and Zynell was sentenced to death by hanging and that is where her pain and suffering intensified. Death After Birth features Jackie Appiah, veteran actor Ernest Abbeyquaye-former Director of Gama Films, Doris Sackitey, William Addo (Akpatse), Amanobea Doodo, Vivian Achor amongst others.
