Unless the National Democratic Congress (NDC) immediately takes steps to stop one Barbara Asamoah, spokesperson of Get Atta Mills Endorsed (GAME) from providing usher services at the upcoming congress in July to select a presidential flagbearer, the congress will go down in history as a fiasco. Many are those who have questioned the locus standi of Barbara Asamoah, alleged girlfriend of Local Government Minister, Ofosu Ampofo, in providing ushering services vis-a-vis her strong loyalty to President Mills, a contender in the flagbearership slot. At the same time, her alleged boyfriend Mr. Ofosu Ampofo has lobbied the party headquarters for her to be given such a job though the pretty lady clearly stands in a conflict of interest position. Barbara Asamoah is also the Deputy National Organizer of the ruling NDC and is unclear why the party hierarchy has yet to clarify the rules on intra-campaign for the flagbearership slot and where party executives stand. The provider of usher services will be responsible for arranging lodging places for delegates and their subsequent meals and sitting positions at congress grounds. Many are those who are raising issues of possible camping and inducement of delegates to vote in a certain direction.
