The Prosecutor in the ongoing Ambulance trial has said, Richard Jakpa did not provide any documents to the Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame to help make a case against Dr. Ato Forson.

The Prosecution led by Director of Public Prosecution, Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa made this revelation during cross examination of the third accused, Richard Jakpa.

According to the Prosecutor, the claim that Jakpa provided the said documents to the A-G in July 2022 to help make a case against the MP was false because the A-G had already made disclosures of the said documents and served them on Jakpa's lawyers in February 2022.

Jakpa had accused the Attorney-General of engaging him at odd hours to help him implicate the Minority leader, Dr Ato Forson.

He testified in court that, the Attorney-General assured him that for his corporation, he Jakpa will be made to go free at submission of no case stage.

He said based on the promises he corporated with the Attorney-General and provided those documents to support the case of the Attorney-General against Dr. Ato Forson.

However the Prosecutor said, these claims were untrue.

Richard Jakpa is standing trial alongside Minority leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson for willfully causing financial loss of 2.37 million Euros in their bid to purchase ambulances for the state between 2014 and 2016.
