Stephen Appiah Preferse Leaving Italy After Completing Cesena Deal

Ex Ghana captain Stephen Appiah prefers not to play his club football anymore in Italy following his contract expiration at Serie-A club Cesena. The 30-year-old played out most of his career in Italy where he featured for Udinese, Parma, Brescia, Juventus, Bologna and Cesena but says hes had enough of Italian football and would prefer to play elsewhere. Honestly I told my manager that I dont want to go back to Italy but in life you never say never, he said. I dont want to say much when I have not put pen to paper, I dont think its (future) in Italy but I am sure Ghanaians will know once i sign for a new club. The ex Fenerbahce player took the opportunity to re-emphasize his decision to quit international football and says he has no intentions whatsoever of coming back to the Black Stars despite the public outcry for his return. I really feel the love from Ghanaians. Everyone knows I served the nation with all of my heart but people shouldnt think the current players cant make it without some of us. The most important thing is to give them the needed support. I quiet remember when they went to Angola I wasnt there, Michael Essien wasnt fit, Sulley Muntari wasnt there but they managed to get at least a medal. I am really happy for the love that Ghanaians are showing but I have said it already, I am not coming back, he added.
