Namibia National Team To Camp At Lizzy's Sports Complex

The Lizzy�s Sports Complex in Accra will host a contingent of a development Namibia national team side for a four-week training tour, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. The multi-purpose sports facility was put up by Ghana-born ex-France captain Marcel Desailly and was officially launched last month. The Brave Warriors will start their camping on 16 July and have line up friendlies against Liberty Professionals, Asante Kotoko and league champions Berekum Chelsea before departing on 8 August. �We have the facilities and we are open to the international market. In a short time, a lot of teams have been here and the Namibians are convinced that we can give them a good reception,� Chief Marketing Officer of the Complex Jamil Maraby told GHANAsoccernet.com The complex has at least three standard training pitches, an Olympic size swimming pool, a state of the art gymnasium, a health centre, lifestyle shops amongst others. It also possesses first class residential facilities suitable for both local and international team camping. In March, the Ivory Coast national team camp there for their 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin which was played in Accra. Local side Berekum Chelsea used the facility ahead of winning the 2011 President�s Cup early this month.
