Kotoko Set For Showdown Talks With GHALCA

Asante Kotoko are set for talks with the Ghana League Clubs Association after the clubs Board of Directors sent a strong-worded reply over their fine and one-year ban. The two-time African champions are incensed with the 10,000 Ghana cedi fine and one-year extinction for snubbing the medal presentation during the Presidents Cup on 1 July. The club say they will go to Fifa to find out if the umbrella body for the league clubs in the country has the powers to sanction them. Kotoko have also threatened to pull out of the association. Kotoko and rivals Hearts of Oak are the biggest contributors to the coffers of the association. GHALCA will convey an emergency meeting on Friday on the latest turn of event.
