His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills, as part of Ghana�s 51st Republic Day celebration, has conferred National Awards on certain distinguished personalities. A statement signed by Mr Koku Anyidoho, Director of Communications at the Presidency said the categories include, Companion of the Order of the Volta; Officer of the Order of the Volta; Member of the Order of the Volta; Grand Medal; and Medal for Gallantry. The Playing Body of the Black Stars that made it to the quarter final of the World Cup in South Africa have also been awarded Companion of the Order of the Volta while the Technical and Management Teams have been awarded the Grand Medal. The Playing Body of the Under 20 Black Satellites team that won the World Cup, and the Head Coach, Mr. Sellas Tetteh, have been awarded Member of the Order of the Volta while the Technical and Management Teams have been awarded the Grand Medal.
