Akwasi Appiah To Coach Ghana U-23 At All Africa Games

Black Stars assistant coach Akwasi Appiah will lead the national Under-23 at this year�s All Africa Games finals, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. �The All Africa Games is the only remaining competition left for the team and so he has been given the double assignment in addition to his Black Stars assistant job,� Ghana Under-23 management committee head Randy Abbey told GHANAsoccernet.com The ex-Black Stars captain took temporary charge of the team and secured qualification at the expense of rivals Nigeria. The Black Meteors beat the Dream Team V 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium last month to cancel out a 3-1 first leg defeat. Ghana are in Group B at the multi-sport event alongside defending champions Cameroon, Uganda and Senegal. The tournament will be played from 3-18 September in Maputo, Mozambique.
