Ex-MUSIGA President Slams 'Sore' Losers

A former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, (MUSIGA), has lashed out at losers at the just ended MUSIGA Congress who claim they lost unfairly. Shortly after his defeat, ace high-life musician, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, who came third in the race for the presidency told the media that inducements were used to influence delegates. The congress produced Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour as President. The 2004 artiste of the year beat three others, Nana Tuffour, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, and Willie Roi to become MUSIGAs youngest President. Speaking to Citi News, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, who served for eight years as President of the Union, said MUSIGA must grow out of the practice where losers always blame people for their defeat. He said the Tamale election was free and fair and losers must accept their defeat in good faith. There is a faction in MUSIGA, whenever there is an election, somebody must go out and say something negative about the election and this has been happening all throughout so it is not something unusual to me. As long as I am concerned it was a free and fair election, the electoral commission was there, everything was conducted well and it was successful.
