The management of sensational Afro-pop musician Becca has responded to news stories that she was recently beaten to pulp by her manager, Kiki Banson until she was eventually hospitalized.
The reports had suggested that Becca and Kiki had a misunderstanding over monetary issues and he violently assaulted her in the process.
But EKB Records, managers of Becca, has issued a statement on the issue and NEWS-ONE reproduces it unedited:
STATEMENT ON ALLEGED ASSAULT OF BECCA
E.K.B Records, Managers of sensational Afro-pop musician Becca has noted with deep concern recent speculations within sections of the media that there is a serious rift between the artiste and her hardworking manager and CEO of the Record label, Mr. Kiki Banson.
According to the report, the alleged misunderstanding between the two personalities got to its climax last week when Mr. Banson is alleged to have physically assaulted Becca resulting in her hospitalization.
E.K.B wishes to state categorically that the story is not only false and malicious but a figment of the imaginations of the so called journalists who concocted it. There has never been any occasion that the two personalities have had any misunderstanding not to talk of assault and subsequent admission of Becca in a hospital.
Although we would have dismissed these fabricated stories with the contempt they deserve, we decided to set the records straight to ease the minds of fans and admirers who have been calling to verify its authenticity.
Indeed, since signing onto our label about four years ago, Becca has had an excellent working relationship not only with Kiki Banson but other members of the E.K.B family and that cordial relationship has existed till date and is not about to change anytime soon.
In our candid opinion, such a fabricated and baseless accusation could only have emanated from faceless persons who are envious of the cordial relationship between Mr. Banson and Becca and are desperately doing everything possible to mar it.
We wish to urge the numerous fans and admirers of Becca to dismiss these malicious and baseless allegations because she still has an excellent relationship with her management team and is even working hard to release her new album onto the marker soon.
