Becca To 'Rock' Ex-President Kufuor

The high-life legend with 20 albums under his belt and many memorable live performances in the country and beyond, Abrantie Amakye Dede the �Iron Boy� is set to rock the stage for the launch of the former president, John Agyekum Kufour�s JAK Foundation. He will share the stage with the EKB signed Afro-pop singer, Rebecca �Becca� Acheampong and the evergreen Winneba Youth Choir. The foundation is a youth-targeted initiative of former President which will consist of the John A. Kufuor Centre for Leadership, Governance and Development, to be based at the University of Ghana, Legon, and the John A. Kufuor Presidential Library and Museum at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. The two-day event which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, September 20-21, 2011, will take place at the two prestigious Ghanaian universities, University of Ghana and the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and Technology respectively. Day one will see two former presidents as the special guests of honour, H. E Horst Kohler, former president of the Federal Republic of Germany and H. E.Thabo Mbeki, former president of the Republic of South Africa. Former President Horst Koehler of the Federal Republic of Germany will cut the sod for the start of work on the Centre at the University of Ghana on September 20 and deliver the inaugural lecture later in the afternoon.
