'Use Energy-Saving Bulbs'

The Reverend Nicholas Francis Kumah, Director of Turning Point Issues, an advocacy group, has suggested that Ghanaians should use energy-saving bulbs to reduce their electricity consumption. Speaking to the GNA on Monday, he said electrical bulbs had their differing capacities and that the use of energy saving bulbs would help minimize the power consumption. He said for domestic purposes, bulbs ranging from 25 watts to 30 watts, must be used; while 40-65 watts should be used during the nights by machine shops or industrial sites. He said by economizing electricity consumption, Ghanaians would be saving some income for other domestic purposes.
