Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the MP for Asokwa, has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, is the best MP ever. Mr Jumah disclosed that Nana Akufo-Addo was the best MP he had ever seen in the august House. He noted that the former MP for Sunyani East and a leading member of the NPP, J.H. Mensah, was the only who could rival Nana Addo for the best MP honours. �I saw Nana Akufo Addo in parliament and in my opinion he was the best MP that I have ever seen during my days in parliament,� Mr. Jumah stated. Hon. Jumah made the statement when he spoke during the official launching of the 10th anniversary celebration of the TESCON branch of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. The Asokwa MP said he witnessed the effective and articulate manner in which Nana Addo argued and gave decisive solutions to problems on the floor of parliament during his days as MP. He also said that he was privy to how Nana Akufo Addo excelled as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Justice during the NPP regime. Nana Akufo Addo�s excellent performance as MP and minister of state, he stated, spoke volumes of the NPP flagbearer�s competence and readiness to lead Ghana as its president in 2012. He therefore urged the electorate not to listen to lies that the NDC had been peddling against Nana Akufo Addo, stating that they were aimed at discrediting the NPP leader. Hon. Jumah stated that Nana Akufo Addo was not on drugs and cocaine as was being fabricated by the NDC. In mockery, he wondered why Nana Addo, who the NDC claimed was on drugs, could perform so well as MP and as minister of state but President Mills, who the NDC claimed was holy, was not performing as president. Jovially, the Asokwa MP said if Nana Akufo Addo could perform so well as MP and minister to benefit the country by using drugs, then he would support him to continue using the drugs.
