Minister To Grace Kuffour�s Testimonial Match

Clement Kofi Humado, Minister of Youth and Sports has confirmed his participation in the testimonial match in honour of Samuel Osei Kuffour scheduled for December 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi. The Minister made this remarks when the former national star and defender of the Black Stars paid a courtesy call on him at his office on Thursday. �I will be present at the match on that day. I will also inform the presidency about the event for their participation as well,� Humado said. Mr Humado assured that the Ministry will lend its support towards the organization of the match to give a befitting farewell to the retired Black Stars player. Kuffour thanked the Minister for accepting the invitation to participate in his testimonial match.He reiterated his support to the development of youth football as his quota in giving back to society for the support accorded him throughout his career. Kurt E.S. Okraku, a member of the organizing team explained that the endorsement and participation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports is vital to the success of the first ever testimonial for a Ghanaian footballer. He announced that the official launch of the match will be held next month (November) and will set the tone for the kick-off. Okraku said the line-up of activities will be unveiled during the launch in November including the players billed for the occasion. The historical match is being put together by Proton Sports Services and Danny Gabby Football Consortium. Kuffour, one of the most decorated players of his generation, hanged his boots after an illustrious career spanning almost two decades.
