Nania Players Not For Sale

Double champions manager Abedi Ayew Pele says he is keeping his players close to his chest for further grooming ahead of their continental campaign. To the soccer maestro, the move to place an embargo on the FA/ Super Cup winners was to ensure cohesion and continuity. He revealed in a post-Super Cup interview at the Accra Stadium on Sunday that despite his sides recent brilliance, there was the need to go the extra mile. Clubs have expressed interest in our boys since we won the FA Cup, but none of them is going anywhere. Apart from Prince Baffoe, who is not in camp because of Kotokos strong desire to poach him, the rest are focusing on the African camping, Abedi added. The former Black Stars captain praised his side for demonstrating bravery in their recent streak of victories against premiership sides Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea. Considered underdogs by the games bookmakers, the Division One side beat Kotoko and league champions in the FA and Sly Tetteh Super Cup respectively. Nania defeated Chelsea 4-3 on penalties to lift the maiden Sly Super Cup at the Accra Stadium three days ago.
