No Turning Back For R2Bees

After riding high for sometime with their popular Kiss ur hand song, R2bees has hit the market again with a song called Ajeeei. The duo Faisal Hakeem and Rashid Mugeez who make up R2Bees say their current single is the hottest song of the moment. In an interview with Showbiz, R2bees (Refuse 2 Be Broke) who are remembered for songs like Up Inna De Club, Yawa Girl, Too Many Girls, Money, I Dey Mad Oh, Kiss Ur Hand say they are amazed at how fast Ajeeei hasbecome a hit. �The song was released a month ago and the response is just great, the number of calls we get on a daily basis is a testimony that the song has gone down well with Ghanaians,� R2bees said. Asked whether they believe Ajeeei could win any award, R2bees said they do positive music to serve the masses, more so peoples� happiness in their opinion is worth much more than a common plastic. However, they said they were searching for a female singer to complete their puzzle. According to them, they are constantly focused on their job description which is creativity and what they have brought into the group. They added that they continue to drive themselves and others around them towards higher levels of achievement. R2bees said music and the entertainment industry today is all about dedication, creativity and being second to none. As a result, the duo said they hardly get distracted by other peoples� actions or inactions. �Our versatility in producing music is overwhelming and we actually believe that we have what it takes to take Africa by storm in the music industry. Our song Ajeeei says it all, we are just a bunch of individuals who have an insatiable thirst for music and creativity�, the duo added. �We think it is very essential to appreciate music as we feel it, it is about time to let loose our talents that have been lurking deep down in us,� they said. During the 2009 Ghana Music Awards, the group were nominated for Discovery of the Year, Hip Life/Hip Hop artiste(s) of the Year and Afro Pop Song of the Year.
