Sultry actress Uche Iwuji is no doubt one of the most beautiful, stylish and most sought-after actresses in the Nigeria movie industry. She has carved a niche for herself in the industry, based on her agility in displaying what she knows how to do best- acting. Uche is one of the actresses that make things happen in the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially in the Igbo movie genre. She recently spoke with nigeriafilms.com about her marriage plans. Yeah, in our tradition, you have to get married at an early age, but with the kind of explosions in marriages, we have and all that, we have to deal with our success first before you think of dealing with another person. So Im just there; when it comes I go with it and if it doesnt come on time, I will wait for Gods time, because His is the best. Marriage is something that every girl wants to achieve and if it comes, why not, I will get married and once I get married I will be off the scene for like five years, so as to consolidate my marriage, because I really need to know what Im doing in my matrimony. I want to spend more time with my man, she reportedly said. Uche has been involved in a number of controversies. A few months ago, there were reports that the she had lost her 19-week-old pregnancy. People didnt know I was pregnant and I would have preferred to keep it that way. But I know sometimes its better to clarify things with you guys than keep mum. Well, I had complications. I was going to use the toilet when my water broke. I was rushed to the hospital and was forced into labour, so I lost the child. I was 19 weeks gone and I never expected this to happen, she explained the circumstance that led to the loss. The creative arts graduate from the University of Lagos, according to reports at the time, was pregnant for a married man whose name was given as Raphael and resides in Spain. The actress confirmed the identity of the said man but she did not make it clear if he was indeed a married man. I met Raphael in 2006 through a friend and we got talking on the phone. He came to Nigeria and we started dating. We had a good relationship but between 2007 and 2008, we didnt see much of each other so there was a break until 2009 when re-connected and have been together since then. That I got pregnant for him doesnt mean we were serious but he is the kind of man I can love forever. There has never been any marriage plans; we were just dating.
