Petrojet Counting On Eric Bekoe Against Ahly

Petrojet coach Taha Basry is counting on the return of Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe to help ease past Ahly in the league on Tuesday night. Bekoe sat out last season due to injury and is struggling to stay fit this term. Ahly are thirsty for another league win following their last triumph over Haras El Hodoud. Petrojet will count on home support to return to winning ways following the 3-1 reverse at Ismaily. Basry admits the enormity of the task tonight but reckons he has enough men to cause an upset. We have no option but to win and you look at players like Bekoe and others who are fit and Im sure the game will set up nicely, Basry said. He (Bekoe) is an important player for the team and hopefully he can have a good game tonight The match is hard and I think the draw was cruel to us as we have to face big teams like Ismaily and Ahly successively, he added. Both sides will see their top stars fit and in form, setting the stage for a tense match up. Mohamed Abou-Treika, Meteb, Abdullah El-Saied and Walid Soliman will each prove valuable to the Ahly side. Petrojet also have duo Mohamed Koffi and Marawan Mohsen to threaten Sherif Ekramys net. Other Tuesday matchups include: El-Shorta v Smouha, Masry v Talae El-Gaish, Haras El-Hodoud v Maqassa and Arab Contractors v El-Entag El-Harby.
