Pastor Love - My Mother-In-Law Influenced Christiana Love

Pastor Love Hammond, the husband of popular gospel music icon Christiana Love, whom he claimed was four months pregnant for another man, yesterday declared that his wife had never thought of divorce. According to him, his mother-in-law was the one who influenced Christiana Love to divorce him because she saw him (Pastor Love) as a stumbling block to her familys progress. Pastor Love, who on an Accra-based radio station, Channel R, made a shocking revelation last week that his wife was carrying a four-month-old baby fathered by another man, accused his mother-in-law of creating so many problems in his marital home. The man of God, who denied having extra-marital affairs outside his marriage, told BEATWAVES that his mother-in-law, Mary Twene, had even told some relatives a few weeks ago that she would make sure the marriage between her daughter and him was dissolved. When asked whether Christiana Love had wanted to divorce him some years ago, Pastor Love was quick to say that my wife has never thought of divorce. It is rather her mother and brother, one Kwame, who are forcing her to divorce me. Explaining further, the man of God said he was shocked when his wife and mother-in-law accused him of raping his wifes sister and a maidservant in his own house, arguing that if indeed he had raped the two girls, the case would have been reported to the police. He noted that all the allegations levelled against him were part of his mother-in-laws plans to discredit him and also drag his name through the mud. He told BEATWAVES that he made Christiana Love what she is today, adding, I composed all songs, paid the studios for the recordings among others. I took her to Germany and was lodging with my sister. I was later told that she had left my sisters house to live with one Mr. Nsokor without informing me. When I called Nsokor, his wife picked the phone and told me my wife was in town. You see on August 20 at about 9:00pm I felt within me that something was wrong somewhere so I called her the next day and complained bitterly about her attitude because the very day I called she did not sleep there. Later, when I confronted her, she told me she slept at a friends house and when I pressed further, she told me that she was no longer interested in the marriage. When asked whether his marital problems could be solved, Pastor Love Hammond looked into the sky, bowed his head and said he had already been crucified, adding, It would depend on God. When asked whether he still loved his wife, all the man of God could say was that God was going to change things for the better. Pastor Love, who claimed he was looking to God to solve his problems, disclosed that a lady called Kate called him from Germany and alleged that his wife (Christie) was dating her (kate) husband, Nana Yaw. According to him, Kate also disclosed that Nana Yaw had rented an apartment for Christie and both of them were living together. Pastor Love alleged that the said Nana Yaw, who is now managing his wife, abused him, called him a rapist among others when he called to warn him to stop dating his wife.
