Woyome Charges: 'Patapaa' NPP Will Feel Sorry

A staunch member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alfred Woyome, has served notice that anyone interested in inciting war in Ghana during the elections will be dealt with squarely according to the laws of the country. Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Woyome described the opposition NPP General Secretary, Sir John, as an irresponsible politican for asserting that President John Mills is a "confused and desperate" leader. He also described the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo's comment that the NPP must win the 2012 elections at all cost as "irresponsible". A very angry Woyome warned that any member of the main opposition including Nana Addo and Sir John who dares act suspiciously or incite violence in any form will get a taste of the unfriendliness of the law. "Sir John should shut up," Woyome said. "It is very unfortunate for this patapaa people to come and be shouting about war. There is no war and I can reassure Sir John." "Anyone of the NPP countrywide, who are listening to me now, if they dare, they would understand the application of the law of this country." Woyome added: "All political parties are just a means to the proper end and the end is the well meaning of God and country. Anybody has got the means and wants to use the wrong means to destroy the wellbeing of God and country would be dealt with appropriately." Anybody who would remotely do anything and we know it is linked to Nana Addo, Nana Addo himself would be dealt with. It is a simple fact because nobody is above the law. At all cost, what does he mean by at all cost? A political leader? How? This is irresponsible, Woyome stated.
