CRISTIANO RONALDO could be in line for a dramatic return to Manchester United � at Rio Ferdinand's testimonial. Rio, 33 yesterday, will reach a decade at Old Trafford next summer and the club will propose a variety of options to mark the feat.
It is understood United's top brass will discuss a year-long series of events and fundraisers with the defender in January.
That will include a testimonial match � with Ronaldo high on the wanted list if they can make the dates work with Real Madrid.
Next summer's Olympics and Euro 2012 mean nothing will be confirmed until after those events. But plans are already in place to ask about former United hero Ronaldo's availability.
